The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect on 25 May 2018, it’s an evolving beast and an on-going challenge. It has overhauled the way businesses collect, use and store personal data, the consequences of which have altered the approach to business development opportunities.

Implied consent, such as pre-checked boxes or ‘to continue to use our site, accept our Ts&Cs’ are no longer valid. Businesses are now obligated to prove actual consent that must be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous.

Our trainer will be Hellen Beveridge, a multi-disciplinary marketing professional with over 25 years of experience across a broad range of industries. Hellen is currently the Privacy Lead at Data Oversight, where she helps organisations understand and implement data protection strategies. Hellen is also the moderator for the marketing stream of GDPR Summit London, and is an experienced expert speaker on data protection.
